The Speakers Engineered to Precision: Magico
Magico Takes a No-Holds-Barred Approach to Speaker Design and Engineering
The first thing you’ll notice when reading an article on Magico speakers is the descriptive phrases, like “relentless force,” “extreme,” and “intimidating.” When their latest flagship speaker, the M9, was introduced in 2020, it certainly stood up to the brand’s reputation. At 1,000 pounds and over 6.5-feet tall, it is Herculean in its presence. At $750,000 a pair, we can definitely say they are the Ferrari of speakers, the crème de la crème. Some say its sound reproduction is as close to true audio as you’ll find.
Fortunately, for audiophiles without million-dollar bank accounts, Magico also produces high-fidelity speakers at an attainable price. Let’s take a look at their product line and see if the world-renowned Magico speakers may be just what your Bergen County, NJ home needs.

The Immense M9
The M9 cabinet houses two 15-inch woofers that reach a level of bass few can attempt. Neodymium magnets power two 11-inch midbass drivers, and the 1.1-inch diamond-coated beryllium-dome tweeter delivers unparalleled, detailed high-frequency reproduction.
These speakers also boast Nano-Tec cones that feature the world’s first carbon-fiber-and-graphene skins sandwiching honeycomb-aluminum cores. Graphene is just one atom thick yet 100 times stronger than steel. The result of all this combined technology is no compression in the high notes, a transparent midrange, and no distortion.
You may wonder, what’s the point of highlighting speakers that few can afford? As with many high-fidelity brands, Magico passes down their engineering feats first introduced in their pinnacle products to their smaller siblings.
The Affordable A3
Their A3 model, for example, falls in line with many hi-fi heavyweights but is a fraction, maybe less than a fraction, of the cost of the M9. Still, it boasts a pure beryllium-diaphragm tweeter that’s based on the geometry and design of the M-Project tweeter. You’ll also find their carbon Nano-Tec graphene cones and Magico’s acclaimed, proprietary Elliptical Symmetry Crossover.
It’s enclosed in the same materials as their Q series made of aircraft-grade aluminum and finished with an elegant brushed anodized skin. In 2012, their Q7 loudspeaker gained Magico the "Product of the Year" title and the greatest achievement in high-end audio. In 2021, Magico’s A5 won loudspeaker of the year. It’s safe to say that every speaker Magico produces is painstakingly designed in a no-holds-barred approach.
Of course, if you're not yet a hi-fi enthusiast, these technical descriptions may mean very little to you. What does mean something is the end result, music and film soundtracks that make you feel as if you’re in the studio, listening to a live performance. You’ll feel the power of the crescendos as well as the transparent, stunning precision of delicate musical passages. But it's more than that and somewhat hard to define. Premier hi-fi audio fills the room, eclipsing the soundstage. It redefines boundaries.
Our love, enthusiasm, and expertise in hi-fi are what prompted us to open the only hi-fi showroom in North NJ where our clients can experience our passion—high-fidelity sound.
