Learn how to quickly access and customize rooms, scenes, settings, and more

With a Savant home automation system, you can access your entire Bergen County, NJ home in the palm of your hand. The Savant Pro smartphone app contains all the devices, services, scenes, and rooms in your Savant home. Below, we’ve created a short guide to navigating some of the app’s primary features so that you can gain a better understanding of what you can do to create a unique, personalized experience in your smart home. Home View and Rooms View

Home View gives you a big-picture overview of everything in your Savant home. Tap the “System” button to check the status of connected devices and the “Scenes” button to pull up all saved scenes. At the bottom of the screen, scroll through a carousel of all the services in your home (like Apple TV or Spotify streaming) and tap on each one to pull up a list of options (like “Play Apple TV on the family room TV” or “Stream Spotify to the kitchen”). Home View also lets you see what media is currently playing throughout the house.

Rooms View gives you a smaller-picture overview of everything in a specific room. Tap “Kitchen” or “Master Bedroom” to view the scenes and devices available inside the room. Like the Home View, Rooms View also features a carousel of services at the bottom of the screen. Simply tap on the service you want to access its features and adjust the service within the selected room. 

Scenes

The Scenes screen allows you to build, save, schedule, and delete custom automated scenes for your Savant home. Clicking “Fast Capture” will save a room’s current settings as a new scene while clicking “Build Now” will let you create a custom scene with the settings and devices of your choice.

Did you know that you can set different access levels for scenes? A private scene will only be available on your profile, while a shared scene is accessible to any user and available on in-wall or tabletop touchscreens.

Settings

The Settings screen has tons of helpful information to help you manage your home. Or homes — use this screen to switch over to a second home or vacation home. You can also set up notifications to alert you to changes in any of your connected homes or find information and tutorials about your Savant system and Pro app.   

Profiles

Savant home automation allows you to create an individual profile for everyone who needs access to your smart home. Members of your household can organize favorite rooms, devices, and services based on personal preference and build custom scenes accessible only to them. You can also create guest profiles with limited access for nannies, dog walkers, housekeepers, relatives, and friends.
