Experience the Ultimate Surround Sound System
B&W Takes the 360-Degree Soundstage to the Next Level
British-based Bowers & Wilkins developed an early reputation as designers, engineers, and builders of some of the best hi-fi speakers in the world. Today, that reputation still stands as audiophiles save up to purchase their top high-performance speakers that some define as legendary.
Their 800 Diamond Series delivers the pinnacle of hi-fi performance. These are the speakers you’ll find in recording studios around the world. So, you may wonder, why are we highlighting their 600 Series? One reason is their price point. The 600 Series offers incredible value.
The second reason is that as B&W continues in their engineering milestones and innovative “firsts,” they hand down their trademark secrets to the more affordable products. The 600 series incorporates many technologies from their premier series, including the Continuum cone mid/bass driver for perfect midrange sounds and the low distortion Decoupled Double Dome tweeter. These high-performance technologies are found in affordable cabinets.
In essence, while the 600 series is considered B&W’s entry-level system, it performs better than many other brands' top-of-the-line systems.
Even better? This system happens to make the perfect B&W surround sound system for your Bergen County, NJ home.

Surround Sound
B&W's 600 series consists of floorstanding speakers, two bookshelf speakers, three subwoofers, and a center channel. While many music lovers use one or more of these items on their own, they create a stunning 5.1 channel surround sound system when put together.
What does this system produce when installed in designated home movie theaters or media rooms? Viewers experience the deep bass required in full-impact action scenes and the intricate, delicate sounds found in subtler soundtracks. You’ll hear each drop of gently falling rain and the leaves rustling in the wind as if you’re in the center of the scene. The entire 360-degree soundstage immerses you in the battles, where you can almost feel the impact as well as hear it.
The system delivers three-dimensional surround sound with the help of its technology that has carried it to the pinnacle of audio quality. Those looking for a complete 11.4.4 Dolby Atmos system can also add B&W’s many in-ceiling and in-wall speakers for a sound that surpasses the best cinematic experience.
Advanced Technology
Over 50 engineers make B&W’s Stenning, England, R&D facility their home. Here, they create, test, measure, listen, and reimagine each piece of equipment that makes B&W legendary.
In 2020, B&W came out with their 600 Series Anniversary Edition, celebrating 25 years of high-performance audio and over one million sold units. The anniversary edition features one tower speaker, two bookshelf speakers, and a center channel, making it a perfect high-performance surround-sound solution for home theaters or large spaces.
This series incorporates an upgraded version of their iconic Decoupled Double Dome tweeter. At higher frequencies, drive unit diaphragms start to lose their integrity, bending and flexing. B&W created the Double Dome design utilizing an aluminum diaphragm and a ring profile that strengthens the structure in its weakest area. In their flagship 800-series, they use a very thin layer of diamonds for this purpose.
This results in much cleaner high-frequency performance with far less distortion or break up, producing sweat, clean sounds in the top ranges, and decouples it from the cabinet by isolating it with a gel substance.
They also introduced their Continuum cone midrange driver, a material that took B&W engineers eight years to create and replaced Kevlar in 2015 in their 800 series. This self-damping material made significant improvements and significantly reduced distortion, bringing studio-quality sound to homes at an affordable price range.
